Dinamika Petani Akibat Fragmentasi Lahan Pertanian Suku Tengger di Pegunungan Bromo

Abstrak
Based on land ownership, farmers can be classified into three categories. Among others, big-scale farmers are usually wealthy farmers, Medium-scale farmers, and Small-scale farmers. Each category of farmers has a different strategy on the selection of crop types, land management personnel, agricultural capital to maintain social resilience (resilience) for each family. The purpose of this study is to analyze the dynamics that occur in farmers based on land ownership in Krajan Village Sapikerap Subdistrict Wonokitri. This location is determined intentionally, while a descriptive qualitative approach is used to explain the dynamics that occur in farmers based on land ownership. Informants are determined based on certain criteria and considerations. Data is collected through observations, interviews, documentation studies as well as field records. Once the data is collected, analyze the data using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. This research shows that the dynamics of farmers based on the land area in Krajan Hamlet. Farmers with large lands usually have access to large capital tend to choose to work on crops that bring large profits even if they are prone to risks such as potatoes, tomatoes, and cabbage. On the contrary, farmers with small capital tend to work on crops that have a small risk of failure or food crops that are used alone, such as carrot and corn crops. Meanwhile, family members who deserve to work are deployed to be involved in the production process to save production costs. Besides, farmers have side jobs. Small-scale farmers move as, farm laborers, raise livestock, and open food stalls. While Medium-scale farmers pursue the sale of firewood and flower sales. meanwhile big-scale farmers have side businesses, raising cows, trading, as well as agricultural credit providers.
