As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Editors accept submissions of manuscripts / articles with the following conditions:

  1. Manuscripts / articles are written using  TEMPLATE JPKS as in the doc template image on the right side of the display.
  2. The manuscript / article is the result of research in the field of social welfare maximum in the last 3 years and has never been published in other media.
  3. Articles / manuscripts are written with the following conditions: the title is written in bold type in Times New Roman 14, the name of the author is written in bold type in Times New Roman 12, abstract is in bold letters in Times New Roman 10, while the contents of abstract are not written in bold. Keywords are typed in bold in Times New Roman 10, followed by a semicolon (;). Keywords must be a minimum of two words and a maximum of 3 words, the distance between the semicolon and the next word is 1 space, the length of the manuscript ranges from 10-15 pages with A4 size paper and submitted in soft copy with docx format and author must conduct the submission on the journal page https://ejournal.kemensos.go.id/index.php?journal=jpks&page=about&op=submissions 
  4. The format of writing the script / article is arranged without numbering subtitles, in the following order: a). For writing titles in Indonesian and English, each word must start with a capital letter except for the conjunctions or prepositions, the author's name (written without an academic degree and placed under the title of the text / article), along with the name and address of the institution and the email address of the author. If the author consists of 4 or more people, the name of the main author is listed, the names of other authors are included in the footer of the first page of the manuscript (by attaching the author's identity); Abstract in Indonesian and English consists of 200-250 words, written in Times New Roman letters in 1 (one) paragraph and contains the objectives, methods, research results, conclusions, recommendations and keywords. b). System for writing scripts / articles, namely: Introduction contains narratives about background, literature review and research objectives; The use of the Research Method contains narratives about the approach, type of research, location of research, targets, data collection techniques and data analysis techniques used; Results and Discussion contain the results of research and discussion in accordance with research objectives; Closing contains conclusions and recommendations. Acknowledgments are addressed to those who support the research; Reference Library uses the APA (American Psychological Association) format, in Times New Roman 10 font size with various references coming from journals related to social welfare, social work, other relevant social sciences, research results, websites and related books, using primary sources ( books or journals), alphabetically ordered by family name / author. At least 80% of references come from up to date sources (published no more than the last 10 years). Referrals from the internet include the date of access. It is strongly recommended to use reference applications such as MENDELEY, ZOTERO, ENDNOTE
  5. Direct quotation and length (more than 3 lines) typed in 1 tab-in with the shape of the indented style. All citations and references used by the author must be listed in the bibliography. The use of abbreviations is permitted, but must be written in full when first time mentioned and then put the abbreviation in parentheses. Foreign terms or words or terms in local languages are written in Italic (italicized). Symbols are written clearly and can be distinguished, such as the use of the number 1 and the letter I (also the number 0 and the letter O). Tables and table titles are written in Times New Roman 10. The table numbering uses Arabic numerals (following the APA format).

  7. When submitting a manuscript, the author is required to attach an ethical publication that can be downloaded in the Journal of Social Welfare Research.
