OPTIMALISASI PERAN WIDYAISWARA DALAM PELAKSANAAN PENDIDIKAN, PENGAJARAN, DAN PELATIHAN

Abstract

The competence of human resources can be upgraded through education and training.
Trainers (widyaiswara) is the main part who is responsible for the improvement of their
competence. This paper examines factors that reinforce roles of widyaiswara in carrying out
the mission. Their performance in a learning process is assessed by, among others, training
participants’ evaluation. The learning process, which includes skills, methods, media, and
evaluation, consists of two components, namely learning objects and learning subjects. The
learning objects constitute training participants, while the learning subjects are learning
preparation. Both components are important for a widyaiswara to integrate, so that the
implementation of education, teaching, and training can be optimal. The other things that
should be reinforced by widyaiswara are program restructuring, reculturation approach,
and refiguration of authenticity. Hopefully the learning activities undertaken by widyaiswara
become more effective.
