Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the correlation of self concept and self regulation with the orientation and mobility skill of the children with visual impairment. The hypothesis stated in this research were: There were correlation of self concept and self regulation with the orientation and mobility skill of the children with visual impairment. Increasing self concept and
self regulation were indicating the increasing of the skill orientation and mobility. The subjects were 27 visual impairment children studied at education for visual impairment Bartemeus, Manado. The data collected were scale orientation and mobility, self concept and self regulation, and analysed by regression. The result for regression analysis showed: first, the contribution of self concept and self regulation to skill orientation and mobility were significant. Second, there was significant correlation between self concept and skill orientation and mobility. Third, there was significant correlation between self regulation and orientation with mobility skill for visual impairment.
